URBAN VS RURAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR YOUTH

Liceul Tehnologic Ion Căian Romanul in partnership with Agrupamento de Escolas Ribeiro Sanches decided to implement a youth exchange that offers to a group of 20 romanians and portuguese participants the opportunity to increase the chances to get a job at the end of high school by developing entrepreneurial skills. The aim of the project is to reduce the level of youth unemployment in Romania and Portugal by developing rural and urban entrepreneurial skills.

The objectives are:

To stir interest, develop knowledge and competence in the field of rural and urban entrepreneurship among a number of 20 Ro and Po participants aged 17-19 in order to enhance employability and improve career prospects;
To develop knowledge and skills in the production of EUROPASS CV among the participants in order to enhance their chances to get a job;
To develop verbal and non verbal communication skills, communication being essential during job interviews, discussions with partners and investors and other situations the participants might face in their future career as entrepreneurs
To develop key competences among the project participants such as: communication in mother tongue, communication in foreign languages, social and civic competence, digital competence, learning to learn, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, cultural awareness and expression that will be certified in the YOUTH PASS certificates and thus increase the chances of the 20 Romanian and Portuguese participants aged 17-19 to get a job or attend other programmes that prepare them for the future career as entrepreneurs
To develop knowledge and skills of the staff involved in this project as regards methods used in promoting entrepreneurship among the target youth.
